Questions
How do I export my deals from Pipedrive?
Open Deals, switch to list view and filter to the deals you want. Make sure the Owner, Value, Status and Won time columns are showing, then use the ⋯ menu → Export filter results → CSV. The calculator reads those column names automatically.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. Your file is read in your browser and never sent to us or anyone else. If you download the breakdown or send feedback, we save your email, your tier settings, how many deals and reps there were, and which columns were used — never deal names or amounts.
What's the difference between marginal and retroactive tiers?
Marginal pays each slice of sales at its own tier's rate, like tax brackets: everything up to quota at the first rate, the next band at the next rate, and so on. Retroactive pays every deal in the period at the highest rate the rep reached, so it pays the same or more.
How are split deals handled?
Click a rep, then a deal, to split it between any reps in the file. Each rep is credited their share of the deal value, and the shares are scaled to add up to 100%. Deals you don't split go entirely to the owner in the export.
Does it work with quarterly quotas?
Yes. Choose Monthly or Quarterly and the calculator groups deals by won date into the periods your file covers, then runs one period at a time. The quota you enter is the quota per rep for that period.
What currencies does it handle?
Whatever your export contains. Amounts like "$40,000", "40.000,50" and "40000 USD" are all read correctly, and a single currency in the file is used for the totals. Values are never converted between currencies, so filter to one currency in Pipedrive before exporting.
Is it really free?
Yes, and there's no signup to use it. We ask for an email once, only if you want the payroll-ready CSV, so we can tell you when the Pipedrive app launches. You can unsubscribe at any time.
How is this different from the DealCommish app?
This page is a one-off calculation from a file you export. The app, launching early 2027, works inside Pipedrive: every rep sees their commission on the deal itself, it updates the moment a deal is won, and managers get a locked payout ledger instead of a spreadsheet.
Why I'm building this
For 14 years I've built business software for companies: applications that real teams use every day to solve real problems. One problem kept standing out: sales teams still work out commissions in spreadsheets at the end of every month.
DealCommish fixes that inside Pipedrive. Every rep sees their commission right on the deal, and managers get a locked payout record instead of a spreadsheet. This calculator is free. If something looks wrong or you have an idea, join the launch list and reply to any email. I read every one.
